But in some way, It could be too one-side preoccupied with functional aspects of second language interaction. How we strike a balance between grammatical development and second language interaction
Long’s ‘Interaction Hypothesis’
ReplyDeleteLong emphasizes the role of interaction in second language interaction which is also an extension of Krashen’s original Input hypothesis. He says in order to solve ongoing communication difficulties, the native-speaker-non-native speaker pairs were much more likely to make use of conversational tactics. They also make collaborative efforts to maximize comprehension, and negotiate their way through trouble spot to make the task more relevant to the current state of learner development.

The second group seems to be more successful because they can interact each other and encouraged to ask for clarification from the person reading the script. There can be great increase of repetitions of content words.

As a applier,
I believe that interactional structure of conversation will be important to the current class however we have many difficulties to apply the current class like we have too many students over 30 and time limits which will be only 50 Min. It might be good to apply small group of class.
